ABOUT HALBERG

Making sure all young people with physical disabilities have equal access to sport and recreation.

Too often, children with physical disabilities are left out of P.E. and sport at school.

That’s why the Halberg Foundation works alongside schools, teachers, and families across Aotearoa, providing the knowledge, tools, and support needed to make sport and recreation inclusive for everyone. We also provide funding for adaptive equipment and opportunities so young people with physical disabilities can play, participate, and thrive, just like their peers.

When sport is inclusive, kids gain so much more than physical fitness. They build confidence, make friends, and experience the joy of truly belonging.

But right now, too many young people are still being sidelined. The Halberg Mile is a fun and powerful way for schools to raise funds and help break down those barriers.
