MORE THAN A MILE

The Halberg Mile is a nationwide fundraising event where schools across Aotearoa unite to make sport inclusive for everyone.

We encourage schools to hold their Halberg Mile during the week of 2 September, marking the anniversary of Sir Murray Halberg’s unforgettable Olympic Gold Medal win.

And, it’s about more than just covering 1.6km. Too many young people with physical disabilities miss out on the joy and benefits of sport at school. By taking part, your school helps change that.

Funds raised will support the Halberg Foundation’s work to provide schools with the tools and support they need so that every student can play, participate, and thrive.
